These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of "davevella.com, the official website of Dave Vella for State Representative (the “Site”), provided by Friends of Dave Vella (the “Campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and any other terms or policies incorporated by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Site.

1. About This Website

This Site is provided to share information about Dave Vella for State Representative, his campaign, policy positions, campaign activities, events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to communicate with or support the campaign. The content on this Site is provided for general informational and campaign purposes. While we make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and current, information may change without notice.

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not interfere with the operation or security of the Site.

4. Campaign Communications

If you provide your phone number or email address and request campaign communications, you may receive communications from us regarding campaign news, events, volunteer opportunities, fundraising, or other campaign-related activities. You may unsubscribe from email communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the applicable message. For text messages, standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. You may opt out of campaign text messages by following the instructions provided in the messages. Providing contact information does not guarantee that the campaign will contact you or respond within a particular period of time.

5. Donations and Contributions

If this Site allows you to make a political contribution, contributions are made to the applicable campaign committee; Friends of Dave Vella. Political contributions are subject to applicable federal, state, and local campaign-finance laws, including applicable contribution limits and eligibility requirements. By making a contribution, you agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally permitted to make the contribution. All contribution information submitted through a third-party payment processor may also be subject to that provider's terms, conditions, and privacy policy.

6. Campaign Finance Disclosure

A copy of our report filed with the State Board of Elections is (or will be) available on the Board's official website (www.elections.il.gov) or for purchase from the State Board of Elections, Springfield, IL.

This Site may contain links to websites, social-media platforms, payment processors, event-registration services, email services, or other third-party websites and services. These third-party services are not controlled by the campaign. Your use of those services is subject to the applicable third party's own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, security, availability, or privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

We may maintain accounts on third-party social-media platforms. Content posted on those platforms may be subject to the terms, policies, and community standards of the applicable platform. We encourage users to communicate respectfully and lawfully when interacting with campaign accounts.

Unless otherwise indicated, the content of this Site is owned by or used with permission by the campaign and may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and share our content for personal, noncommercial, political, or informational purposes, provided that you do not misrepresent the source or alter the content in a misleading manner. Use of our materials for commercial purposes or in a manner that falsely suggests endorsement or affiliation is not permitted without prior authorization.

By subscribing to Campaign updates or alerts, you consent to receive periodic updates or alerts by automatic text message. Text STOP to stop. We may discontinue the program at any time without notice. You warrant that you are supplying your own phone number, and not someone else’s, and that you agree to provide us with notice if you are no longer the primary user of that number. You may not sign up to receive mobile messages if you are under thirteen (13) years of age and if you are between the ages of thirteen (13) and eighteen (18) years of age, you must have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to register to receive mobile messages.

Your privacy is important to us. Information collected through this Site may be used for campaign-related purposes as described in our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy should be reviewed together with these Terms.
